General Cancellation, Refund & Rescheduling Policy
This General Cancellation Policy applies to all bookings made through GoDND – Go Dream and Discover.
Each itinerary listed on the platform is curated in partnership with independent local vendors, and specific cancellation terms may vary depending on the experience, destination, seasonality, permits, and vendor agreements.
Guests are advised to review the itinerary-specific cancellation terms displayed on the respective experience page prior to confirming a booking.
1. Applicability of Itinerary-Specific Policies
Each itinerary or experience available on GoDND may carry its own cancellation and refund structure as defined by the operating vendor.
- The cancellation slabs mentioned on the itinerary page shall supersede generic refund percentages.
- In case of conflict, the itinerary-specific policy will prevail.
GoDND acts as a curator and booking facilitator and processes refunds subject to vendor recoverability.
2. Non-Refundable Components (Applicable Across All Bookings)
Irrespective of the itinerary-specific cancellation window, the following components are generally non-refundable once processed:
- Inner Line Permit (ILP) fees
- Government entry or forest department fees
- Special cultural access permissions
- High-altitude restricted area permits
- Peak-season boutique property deposits
- Third-party flight, helicopter, or transport bookings (if arranged)
- Any prepaid vendor component marked as non-refundable
Such elements are governed by respective authorities or third-party policies and are outside GoDND’s direct control.
3. Date Change / Rescheduling
Rescheduling requests are:
- Subject to vendor availability
- Subject to permit re-issuance feasibility
- Subject to seasonal accessibility (especially in remote and high-altitude regions)
- May involve fare differences or revised seasonal pricing
If a vendor does not permit rescheduling within a specific window, the request may be treated as cancellation and rebooking as per that itinerary’s cancellation policy.
4. Payment Default & Booking Confirmation
Bookings are considered confirmed only upon receipt of the required advance payment.
If the remaining balance is not paid by the communicated due date:
- GoDND reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled
- Applicable cancellation charges as per the itinerary-specific policy may apply
- Any recoverable refund will be processed subject to vendor recovery
5. Regulatory or Government Fee Revisions
In the event of changes to:
- Government taxes
- Permit fees
- Regulatory charges
- Mandatory local levies
after booking confirmation, any additional amount arising due to such changes shall be borne by the guest.
6. Refund Processing Timeline
Where a refund is approved:
- Processing will begin within 7–10 business days from written confirmation
- Refunds will be made via the original mode of payment unless otherwise agreed
- Applicable transaction processing charges may be deducted
Refund timelines may vary depending on vendor settlement cycles.
7. No-Show Policy
Failure to arrive at the confirmed start point of the journey on the scheduled date will be treated as a no-show.
- Refund eligibility (if any) will depend on the itinerary-specific cancellation policy.
- In most cases involving remote logistics and pre-arranged permits, no-show amounts are non-refundable.
8. Early Termination of Trip
If a guest voluntarily shortens, discontinues, or departs early after the trip has commenced:
- No refund will be provided for unused services
- No reimbursement will be issued for missed accommodations, transfers, or experiences
Due to advance logistical planning in remote regions of Northeast India, prorated recalculations are typically not operationally feasible.
9. Force Majeure
In circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural calamities (landslides, floods, extreme weather)
- Government travel restrictions
- Civil unrest
- Road closures in mountainous regions
- Pandemic-related restrictions
GoDND will:
- Coordinate with vendors to explore rescheduling options
- Offer travel credit (where feasible)
- Process partial refunds only to the extent recoverable from vendors
Certain third-party or government charges may remain non-recoverable.
10. Cancellation by GoDND
In the unlikely event GoDND cancels a confirmed trip due to operational impossibility:
- Guests will receive a refund of the amount paid to GoDND for recoverable components
- GoDND’s liability shall be limited to the total amount received for the booking
